Rolls Royce will bring its MT30 marine engines, targetting the growing business of making warships in India. In the past decade or so, the General Electric LM2500 series of engines are the preferred choice of Indian Navy warships. For now, the General Electric dominates the market when it comes to providing engines for warships.
IDD Bureau The UK India Business Council (UKIBC) have announced the establishment of an Aerospace and Defence Industry Group (ADIG) to promote UK-India collaboration for make in India. Core members of the group include Rolls-Royce, BAE systems, Thales UK, MBDA, Leonardo, TVS Logistics, PEXA, Pattonair and Cranfield University, the council said in statement on Friday.
